Midea Air Conditioners
Powrmatic Limited a preferred supplier of heating systems for Chillaire Limited, has recently announced that it will be supplying Midea air conditioning systems. Midea is a Chinese manufacturer, which appears to have turned its attention to the UK air conditioning market.
Chillaire Limited, who have been supplying and installing Powrmatic warm air gas fired heating units, destratification fans and gas fired radiant tube heating systems for the past 20 years, have been approached by Powrmatic to offer the Midea range to our customers at a very competitive price.
The Midea range has been around for a number of years, being available through some smaller distributors in the past, but it never quite managed to achieve the impact, that some of its rival brands enjoyed, at that time, such as,

- Mitsui (Split & Portable Air Conditioners)
- Funai (Split & Portable Air Conditioners)
- Fuji Electric
- Suzushi (Highcool)
- Lennox (Split Type Air Conditioning Systems)
- Axair (Climate Air Range)
- Sharp Air Conditioners
- Ebac
- Amena
Chillaire Limited have been impressed with the quality of the equipment, although the range of equipment to choose from at this present time is limited.
We have added Midea the list of the vast range of brands offered by Chillaire Limited, we believe it could have a place amongst the other leading brands offered by Chillaire, such as Daikin, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Panasonic, LG, Vaillant, Samsung, Marstair, IMI, etc.
Powrmatic are not the first manufacturers of gas fired heating systems to turn their attention to the air conditioning market.
Vaillant, the manufacturers of gas fired boilers have successfully already been down this path. They started selling Vaillant air conditioning systems, a few years back and Chillaire have been installing Vaillant systems, especially into small Comms rooms, where we have found them to be ideal, very cost effective cooling solutions.
