Powrmatic Suspended Warm Air Heater Installation
Chillaire Limited supplied and installed two new Powrmatic suspended warm air heaters and five destratification fans within the warehouse facility at Production Concepts.
The warehouse required an effective heating solution to provide comfortable working conditions for staff throughout the year. Due to the building’s height, warm air naturally accumulated at roof level, leaving cooler temperatures within the occupied areas below.
When required, it will provide reverse cycle air source heat pump heating in the same manner during winter months, at a more economical heating solution compared to traditional electric heating systems.
To address this, we selected two Powrmatic suspended warm air heaters to deliver reliable and energy-efficient heating throughout the warehouse. The heaters were strategically positioned to ensure effective heat distribution across the working environment, helping to improve comfort levels whilst maintaining efficient operation.
The installation included the supply and installation of the heaters, mounting systems, flues, gas pipework, electrical supplies, controls and full commissioning to provide a complete turnkey solution.

What is thermal stratification?
Thermal stratification is a common issue in warehouses and other high-ceiling buildings. As warm air rises, it collects at roof level whilst cooler, denser air remains at floor level. This creates uneven temperatures throughout the building and reduces the efficiency of the heating system.
As a result, heating systems often need to work harder and for longer periods to maintain comfortable temperatures within occupied areas, increasing energy consumption and operating costs.
To combat this, destratification fans recirculate warm air from high level back down to the occupied space. This helps create a more consistent temperature throughout the building and allows the heating system to operate more efficiently.

Chillaire Limited supplied and installed five destratification fans to complement the new heating system. The fans were positioned throughout the warehouse to maximise air circulation and reduce temperature differences between floor and roof level.
