Mitsubishi Electric Air Source Heat Pump Inverter Drive Installation in Loughborough
Chillaire Ltd designed, selected and installed into a new refurbished office in Loughborough two large kW cooling and heating capacity Mitsubishi Electric four way blowing ceiling cassette type fan coil units linked to air source heat pump inverter driven air conditioning outdoor units which are commonly known as single split type systems within the air conditioning industry.
The design and selection will help combat the heat loads / heat losses calculated and provide a comfortable environment all year round using the built-in inverter drive and reverse cycle heat pump technology. The system constantly monitors the room temperature and ramps up / down to provide the required cooling during the warmer summer months and heating during the cooler winter months, throughout the day.
When required, it will provide reverse cycle air source heat pump heating in the same manner during winter months, at a more economical heating solution compared to traditional electric heating systems.
The Mitsubishi Electric single split type systems will be operated using a hard wired wall mounted digital controller which allows cooling or heating mode to be set or you can set the system into auto mode which allows the system to monitor the space temperature and then it will automatically select cooling or heating depending on the set point temperature and actual space temperature at any time during the day. The controller allows fan speed control, on / off and it has a built-in time clock.

Externally the Chillaire Limited engineers installed air source heat pump air conditioning units at ground level on pvc condenser blocks and secured them into place. The indoor and outdoor units were then connected with refrigerant pipes and electrical cables.
