Heat Recovery Mechanical Ventilation installation in Loughborough
Chillaire engineers designed and installed a Daikin VAM heat recovery air handler to provide ventilation for a customer in Loughborough.

We installed Daikin VAM heat recovery mechanical heat recovery ventilation air handler outside on a roof with a weatherproof enclosure.

We installed supply air diffusers to distribute the inside the room and egg crate grilles to extract the stale air out of the room. The diffusers and egg crated grilles were connected to ducting which was installed inside a false ceiling void and then run on the outside of the building and connected to the Dakin VAM HRV air handler.
On completion of the installation the airflow was balanced using an airflow balometer to ensure the air flow was being distributed evenly across all supply grilles and the extract air was being extract evenly across the extract egg crate grilles.
The air flow was balanced using the volume control dampers installed in the supply and extract ducts from the Daikin heat recovery air handler to the supply and extract grilles in the ceiling inside the room.
The Daikin VAM HRV air handler is controlled by a Daikin wall mounted controller.

Heat recovery ventilation (HRV) is a balanced fresh air system where the heat recovery air handler brings in fresh air and at the same time it extracts air out. It uses the extract air to heat up or cool down the incoming fresh air thus providing 60% to 70% heat recovery, while ventilating a space or building.
From small heat recovery systems to large-scale air handling units, Daikin provides a variety of ventilation solutions to deliver a fresh, healthy and comfortable environment for commercial and industrial spaces.
Daikin supply their products through their network of approved installers, Chillaire Limited is a Daikin D1 approved partner and an installer of Daikin products.
The project was designed by the Chillaire design and sales team. The installation was managed by the Chillaire project team.
